Can I Use Cloth Overnight?

Are there reusable cloth options for overnight use?

Absolutely, many brands offer a dedicated nighttime option but you can also convert most styles into a suitable nighttime alternative by adding extra boosters.

When a nappy is expected to contain leaks for that long period of time overnight, you need something more absorbent than your usual daytime nappy. This usually means the night nappies available are a lot bulkier than their daytime counterparts. Our favourite night nappies are the Baby Beehind night nappy and the Fluffy Bubs Dreams night nappy. (The fluffy bubs also doesn't need a separate cover so that's an added bonus.)

We've also found that stuffing pocket nappies with extra boosters, (and sometimes adding a
separate cover if the fit isn't great with that extra bulk), works well too.

For newborns it's a bit easier as they are up at night and get changed more regularly, but we found
a standard fitted nappy (like the Baby Beehinds) was all that was needed for nights up to about 6 months old.

There are many alternatives out there for nighttime use, so there is no reason you can't use cloth full time, day and night. You can check out all our nighttime options for babies and toddlers here
